Overview
Bribery and corruption are involved in at least 60% of all crimes and are a favoured tool of global organised crime gangs (OCGs), according to global reports. Risk based bribery and corruption controls are vital to all firms to protect the firm, staff, and clients, and to avoid the criminal corporate offence of failing to prevent bribery.
This highly interactive course, designed by a Financial Crime Compliance trainer with more than 40 years of experience, provides participants with a practical approach to identifying, assessing and mitigating bribery and corruption risks.

- Global legislation overview and focus on UK Bribery Act
- Significant enforcement actions and their implications
- Identifying firmwide bribery and corruption threats, vulnerabilities, and potential impact
Session 2
- Creating a firmwide bribery and corruption risk assessment and mitigation plan
- Implementing risk-based controls
- Identifying and managing associate risks
- Typologies and red flags
- Supporting staff in high corruption locations
