Introduction to ESG & Sustainable Finance
Overview
Sustainable finance and ESG (i.e. taking account of environmental, social and governance factors) are increasingly becoming a focus of attention for customers, firms and regulators. However, whilst general awareness of ESG-related issues, such as climate change, is growing, some of the terminology can be confusing and employees can be left wondering how ESG and the drive for sustainable finance impacts on both their firm, and their own role.
This course is designed to provide a practical introduction to ESG and sustainable finance. It demystifies the jargon and explains different approaches to the subject. It also explores some of the principal ESG-related risks and opportunities for firms. Finally, it provides an overview of how regulators are responding to the issue, including the regulatory obligations to which firms are increasingly subject.
Who is this for?
This course is suitable for all staff.
